Job title Aircraft Mechanic Qualifications 2 years of Engine MRO experience. Must have High School diploma, or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret service repair manuals and technical publications to determine work procedures. Demonstrate knowledge and skills in the use of various hand tools including but not limited to torque wrenches, transducers, multipliers, dial indicators, micrometers, scales, and other precision instrumentation. Ability to work and maneuver around engines to successfully fulfill the job requirements. Qualified as an Engine Mechanic I (internal criteria). Experience working internally with LM2500, LM6000, LMS100 or other aero-derivative gas turbine engines or packages. Strong verbal, written, analytical and communication skills. Attendance and punctuality. Responsibilities The incumbent will primarily disassemble, repair and re-assemble gas turbine engines to meet customer requirements and support other component repairs in the shop. Review technical documents and perform disassembly, repair and assembly of gas turbine engines, which may include re-engineering for reassembly. Repair and fabrication of gas turbine engine parts and tools by sanding, grit blasting, deburring, blending, and routing welds; remove honeycombs, brazing, and cleaning parts. Maintain accurate documentation on travelers and records; use gauges and tools to ensure specified tolerances are maintained and observe Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures. Increase and expand skill set within the facility, multi-skill, and move to other areas of operation to support business goals and objectives.
