Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate the daily operations of our small trucking fleet. This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to ensure timely pickups and deliveries of, vans, trailers, flat bed and low boy loads. The Dispatcher will be the primary liaison between drivers, customers, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
· Schedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.
· Communicate with drivers to relay route changes, weather conditions, and other critical updates.
· Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
· Resolve issues related to delays, accidents, or emergencies by coordinating with appropriate personnel.
· Provide outstanding customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries and complaints.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or dispatch training is a plus.
· 1-3 years of experience in dispatching or transportation coordination preferred.
· Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation industry best practices.
· Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
· Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, GPS platforms, TruckStop).
