About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director for its Human Research Protection Program (HRPP). The successful candidate will be a seasoned leader with a strong background in regulatory compliance, particularly in the areas of OHRP, FDA, and HIPAA. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of ethical conduct in human subjects research, maintaining accreditation, and facilitating research in compliance with all relevant laws and institutional policies. The Executive Director will be responsible for strategic planning, leading a team of dedicated staff, and overseeing the professional development of the HRPP team and Institutional Review Boards. Collaboration with various offices, including those in the health system and affiliated hospitals, is essential to expand access to and participation in clinical trials. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a Master's degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years' of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include a proven track record in a research institution or academic medical center, experience with both social/behavioral/education and biomedical/clinical research IRB oversight, and a strong background in strategic planning and organizational skills. The role requires the ability to make data-driven decisions, foster a culture of transparency and accountability, and engage in outreach and partnerships to enhance the HRPP. The ideal candidate will have experience with AAHRPP accreditation processes, professional certifications, and a commitment to staying current with industry trends and best practices in HRPPs.
