Responsibilities Be prepared for lifeguarding responsibilities in appropriate attire pursuant to the DDI Dress Code, bringing a towel, resuscitation face mask, disposable gloves, and any other necessary items daily. Recognize and respond quickly and effectively in an emergency. Enforce all DDI and general aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations. Attend DDI’s mandatory 1-day New Employee Orientation. Demonstrate understanding of DDI’s Pool and Water Policies. Demonstrate understanding of the individuals’ swimming assessments and supervision requirements. Inspect the pool and surrounding area prior to allowing people to enter, and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor. Complete records and reports, if any, after the session.
