Platinum Dermatology Partners is looking for a Lab Assistant to work in our Pathology Lab in Glendale AZ

Responsibilities

• Data entry with attention to detail.
• Prepare and maintain accurate laboratory records.
• Entering patient and specimen information.
• Verifying existing patient information.
• Processing slide requests and sending by Fedex to the appropriate destination.
• Filing slides and blocks.
• Disposing of specimens by following policies and guidelines for chemicals and biohazard waste.
• Assisting the Histotechs and Dermatopathologist, as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Prior pathology lab experience is required.
• Extremely detail-oriented.
• Ability to work precisely in a high-volume lab.
• Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently.
• Knowledge of methods of handling chemicals and specimens.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work for timely completion.
• Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to easily understand complex instructions.
• Able and willing to maintain a strict level of confidentiality regarding laboratory results and records.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Valid Driver's License
