This is a contracted, fully remote position.

What are the main responsibilities for this role?

  • Provide comprehensive and constructive feedback on students' portfolios for art programmes, focusing on content and techniques.
  • Identify students' strengths and areas for improvement, offering strategic advice to enhance their portfolios and chances for admission
  • Stay informed about current trends and expectations at top art programmes in the US and UK to provide relevant guidance.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality in handling students' personal information and application materials.
  • Participate in Crimson Education’s training to stay aligned with our goals, methodologies and technology development

What skills and experience are required?

  • A minimum of an arts or other relevant degree, including personal experience with portfolio construction
  • Experience in arts admissions, particularly with assessing applicant portfolios.
  • In-depth understanding of the admissions processes and expectations for arts programmes and expectations .
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire students while providing rigorous and insightful feedback.
  • Proven track record of helping students succeed in competitive admissions settings
  • Ability to create a supportive and encouraging environment while maintaining high standards of critique.
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple arts portfolio reviews efficiently.
